Corbett Tiger Reserve has five entry gates for enter to its Tourism Zones, namely Bijrani, Dhangari, Jhirna, Durgadevi, and Vatanbasa (Kotdwar). Vatanvasa (Kotdwar) gate is the entry point for the Sonanadi Tourism Zone and is regulated from the Kotdwar reception centre.
Jim Corbett National Park has five tourism zones for six exclusive tourism zones namely Bijrani Zone, Jhirna Zone, Dhela Zone, Durgadevi Zone, Dhikala Zone and Sitabani Zone. The forest department is also planning to opened new tourism zone in corbett to manage and maintain the park in better way.
Jim Corbett National Park remains open for the tourists from 15th November to 30th June every year. Best time to visit Corbett is from November to mid June.
Jhirna, Dhela and Sitabani tourism zones remains open all throughout the year for tourists. However some zone of the Jim Corbett National Park remains closed for the period from July to October as the monsoon season approaches during these periods.
The minimum temperatures can reach low as 2 Degree C, in months of December and January while the maximum temperature during the months of May and June reaches as high as 42 Degree C
Apart from the period specified in Point 11 above, no entry is allowed in the Corbett Tiger Reserve on the day of 'Holi' festival.
Entry permits are issued for a specific and particular zone. The safari is permitted only the zone is booked for. The rest five zones shall remain out of bound for the visitors.

Visitors are allowed to take their mobiles / cell phones on park excursions but do not play any kind of music or sound inside Jim Corbett National Park.
Tickets cannot be cancelled and cannot be rescheduled/ amended either online or at the entry gates.

180 vehicles are permitted to enter the park per day, including the morning and afternoon drives. Bijrani Zone accommodates 60 vehicles; Jhirna Zone is allowed with 60 while Dhela 8+8 & Durgadevi zones is allowed 11 & 11 vehicles per day.
Visitors are allowed to enter two times in a day inside Jim Corbett National Park, one in the morning shift and other during the afternoon shift.
Only six adults & two childrens b/w 5-10 years, other than naturalist and registered jeep driver allowed in a vehicle during the safari on one permit.
Accommodation facilities like forest rest house and forest lodges are available inside the Jim Corbett National Park. Tourists can stay at designated forest lodge namely Dhikala, Jhirna, Sultan and Gairal forest rest house. Apart from these forest lodges several other luxury resorts near river are also available in the outskirts of Corbett. You may send query for the advance booking.

It is mandatory to be accompanied by a Registered Guide/Naturalist during safari visits to Jim Corbett National Park. The Guide fee is to be paid directly to the tour guide at the end of the safari tour. Guides are available at the entry point of the respective zone only. Guides for Dhikala & Durgadevi may be picked up by arrangement from Amdanda Gate.
Authorized study tours of students belonging to educational institutions, schools, colleges, and universities shall be charged 50% of the entry fee subject to prior information. This facility shall be allowed to an institution only once a year and shall be limited to only one visit. Students/trainees, trainers, and support staff of the training and research institutions of different State Forest Departments and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India will be eligible for free entry.
