Elephant Safari in Jim Corbett National Park follows a designated path to ensure travelers get to visit all expanses where you will be able to spot mammals, birds and several species of reptiles. Jim Corbett National Park is divided into five zones, where tourism is allowed. Though, elephant ride is only permitted in Bijrani and Dhikala Tourism Safari Gateway of Jim Corbett Park. You can also make advance booking for elephant joy ride that is conducted outer periphery of Corbett Tiger Reserve. For elephant ride inside Corbett Tiger Reserve, tourist need to try on spot, as it available on first reach and get basis. One and half hour safari is conducted in both shift - morning as well as afternoon shift.


Itinerary

Duration 01 Nights - 02 Days

Day 01 : Arrive Jim Corbett National Park -

Arrive Corbett National and check in at River Resort near Kosi River. Enjoy delectable lunch on arrival. Post lunch, take a short break and go to Dhangarhi museum or Garjia Devi temple. Later in the evening come back to riverside resort and take a river walk. Evening tea followed with Dinner, overnight stay in Corbett.

Day 02 : Elephant Safari in Corbett & Sightseeing -

Early morning get ready for the elephant ride to desired tourism zone of the national park. Morning elephant safari is considered perfect for wildlife sighting. Riding on the back of an elephant is a great idea to enjoy the beauty of Corbett Jungle. After one and half hour of adventure ride amidst the forest come back to resort, take your breakfast and have a rest. After short break drive back to destination. Proceed to railway station to catch the train for onward journey.

  • Day visit to all zones are strictly regulated as per the scientifically calculated carrying capacity and only a limited number of vehicles are permitted entry during each morning and afternoon.
  • Permits for day visits to the Sonanadi Ecotourism zone can be obtained from the visitor reception center located at Kotdwar.
  • Permits for day visits to other zones are available online on our website.
  • Visitors are advised to acquaint themselves with gate timings and arrive well before the designated time to avoid any inconvenience.
  • Private vehicles are 'not' allowed entry for tourism purposes into the park and visitors use specially designed vehicles, registered with CTR for this purpose. Day visits to the Dhikala Ecotourism Safari Gateway are permitted only through the specially designed Canter buses via Ramganga Conducted Tours.
  • Visitors can also enjoy elephant rides at Bijrani and Dhikala ecotourism Safari Gateway, which is available on 'First come, first get' basis.
  • Canteen facilities are available at Dhikala, Bijrani and Gairal. At other locations, kitchen facilities have been provided.
  • PHOTO ID Proofs: ADHAR CARD or DRIVING LICENCE or PASSPORT or PAN CARD or STUDENT ID or VOTER ID : that are Accepted - we require the number only - Scan copy is not required.
  • The First Traveller listed on the Booking form has to carry the same ID Proof as submitted for Booking Elephant Safari to visiting Jim Corbett National Park.
  • All other Travellers also have to carry an ID Proof.
  • Charges are NON-REFUNDABLE.
